Week of 11/21

Hello folks:

Even though this is a short week length wise, we still have a lot to accomplish in class. Keep focused until the bell on Wednesday!

Band:
Rehearse today (Monday) after school until 5:30. Next rehearsal will be next Thursday, 12/1 until 5:30.

Music Theory:

Wed: Review of 35 and 36 / Possible quiz

Guitar:
M: Quiz on Amazing Grace
Tu / Weds: Own material / supplemental material I supplied last Friday.

Goodmorning folks,

Here is what's happening in our classes and band this week.

Band: Congratulations on a successful season this year. You have grown tremendously since July when we first met as a group. I cannot wait to see what this group can do next year. Time to focus on our first concert of the year, which is coming up in 4 short weeks. We will rehearse on Wednesday this week from 310-530.

Wed: Quiz on Unit 8
Thr: Major and Perfect Intervals
Fri: Minor intervals

Guitar:
M: Saints go Marching / Amazing Grace
Tu: Saints go Marching / Amazing Grace

Week of Nov 7:

Music Theory:
- M: Learn Intervals / review Chromatic scale
- Tu: Circle of Fifths - might also be a GREAT time for a pop quiz????
- Wed: Study Circle of Fifths (I have a Veterans Day Program)
- Thurs: Quiz on Circle of Fifths

Guitar:
- M-W - Working with partner on two songs in Text Book - Worried Man Blues and 12-Bar Rock..... you and your partner pick to do the melody on one song, and chords on the other - You will perform together as part of performance based quiz on Thursday.

Band:
- Rehearsal Wednesday after school until 5:30
- Playoff Game is Saturday at 1:00pm at NSHS - Report time will be 11:30AM

Hi All:

Here is what's happening this week in Mr. Tenaglia's music classes:

Band:
- We will begin to dedicate afterschool time this week to our concert band now that the competitions are over. We have only a little more than a month to prepare for our concert. Please attend all rehearsals, and push to the holiday break. Rehearsal this week will be Wednesday and Thursday after school until 5:00pm.

Tr: Remaining major scales and chromatic scale
Fri: Intervals

Guitar:
T: Review notes - begin to learn D String
W: Learn melodies featuring D string - look at Let it Be
