Hi Folks - Here is what's happening this week.

Band:
Rehearsal on Wednesday (3:00-6:00) and Thursday (3:00-5:30)
Friday - Game vs Panther Valley - Report time 5:00
Saturday - Competition at Avon Grove Area HS - Atlantic Coast Championships!
- Please keep working on getting better with each Rep! This weekend was one of the best shows we had in the 3 years I've been here - keep getting better!

Music Theory:
M: The Sharp scales and Flat Scales (lesson 27 and 28)
Tu: Key Signatures - sharps and flats (lesson 29 and 30)
W: Ear Training and Review
Tr: Quiz on Unit 7
F:Begin working on the remainder of Major Scales


Guitar:
M:Quiz - Em chord
Tu - Tr: Working on the concept of a duet with The Lion King's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" found in the essential elements workbook - We will review with some guided instruction each day (especially Tuesday), and you will be given time to practice in groups of two for a quiz on Friday

Week of October 10

Hello Folks:

Here is the plan for this upcoming week of school and band.

Band:
- Game Friday @Mt. Carmel - Call time TBA
- Saturday Competition @Exeter Twp. High School (Reading) - Call time will be 12:15 at the school - please pack a light snack for the bus ride to Reading as you will not have the opportunity to eat until after 7:00 - your parents can expect you home around 11:00pm
- Sunday Competition @Blue Mountain HS - Call time will be 12:15 at the school - we are departing right from the school and will rehearse at Blue Mountain - You will be home by 6:00pm

Music Theory:

- W: Whole Steps / Half Steps
- Tr: Ear Training and Review
- Fri: Quiz

Guitar:
- M - Tr: Practicing melodies with G, B and E string - please use time at the end of class wisely to practice as you cannot take guitars home

- Rehearsal after school on Wednesday 3-6 and Thursday 3-530. Game @Tamaqua Friday - performing pre-game due to their homecoming festivities. Competition @Shamokin on Saturday - report to NSHS at 1:00pm.
