Band: Congratulations on a successful season this year. You have grown tremendously since July when we first met as a group. I cannot wait to see what this group can do next year. Time to focus on our first concert of the year, which is coming up in 4 short weeks. We will rehearse on Wednesday this week from 310-530.

- M-W - Working with partner on two songs in Text Book - Worried Man Blues and 12-Bar Rock..... you and your partner pick to do the melody on one song, and chords on the other - You will perform together as part of performance based quiz on Thursday.

Band:
- Rehearsal Wednesday after school until 5:30
- Playoff Game is Saturday at 1:00pm at NSHS - Report time will be 11:30AM

- We will begin to dedicate afterschool time this week to our concert band now that the competitions are over. We have only a little more than a month to prepare for our concert. Please attend all rehearsals, and push to the holiday break. Rehearsal this week will be Wednesday and Thursday after school until 5:00pm.

- Please keep working on getting better with each Rep! This weekend was one of the best shows we had in the 3 years I've been here - keep getting better!

Here is the plan for this upcoming week of school and band.

- Game Friday @Mt. Carmel - Call time TBA
- Saturday Competition @Exeter Twp. High School (Reading) - Call time will be 12:15 at the school - please pack a light snack for the bus ride to Reading as you will not have the opportunity to eat until after 7:00 - your parents can expect you home around 11:00pm
- Sunday Competition @Blue Mountain HS - Call time will be 12:15 at the school - we are departing right from the school and will rehearse at Blue Mountain - You will be home by 6:00pm

Hi folks:

Here is what's happening this week.

Band:

We are going to read some more literature during class this week. Hopefully the pieces on order will arrive Thursday, and we get some after school time in next week. Stay tuned to the announcements for rehearsal times, as we have play to contend with. I will have an announcement on Thursday and Friday regarding rehearsal times next week. Invite your friends who used to play instruments to rehearsals, as this might be a way to strengthen our program for the new semester.
