Here is the plan for this week.

Guitar -
Working on Johnny Cash Hurt and begin to review for your final. Your final exam will be on Tuesday 5/19 during the afternoon slot (12:53-2:34).


Advanced Theory -
Arrangement projects are due today! We will then begin a unit on composition and harmonic function. These projects will be due next Tuesday 5/19. Your final will be on Thursday 5/28.

Band -
Signups for leadership will take place this week. If you are interested in become a Drum Major or Section Leader for marching band this upcoming season, please see Mr. T to sign up.

Tuesday - Jazz and Chorus concert - report time is 5:45
Friday - Memorial Day program at School.

No after school stuff this week.... Next week on 5/19 and 5/21 we will have rehearsal until 5:00pm both days for Graduation, Memorial Day and Drum Major auditions.

Wednesday is our ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BAND CONCERT - Come out and support them - 7pm! If you are playing in "The Heist" please be here at 6:15pm for a run through.

Music Theory:

Band:

Friday - Pens Hockey Game Performance. Report 4:45, Depart at 5:15
Saturday - MDA Block Party. Report 10:30am - Perform from 1-130pm at Schaeffers Harley Davidson in Orwigsburg

Hello Folks.

My name is Matt Tenaglia, and I am the director of instrumental music at North Schuylkill. In addition to directing the band program and lessons, I will be teaching music theory, guitar and advanced music theory this year. Friday is our first game - students will stay after school and rehearse until we depart for Shenandoah. Departure will be announced this week.

- For remaining week, we will be doing some sight-singing.

Guitar:

Tue: Period 5 Final Exam / Period 1 Review
Wed: Period 1 Exam

- For the remainder of week, the underclassmen will perform songs from ultimate guitar for grades

Band:
- Rehearsal on Tue and Weds after school until 4:30
- Drum Major Auditions, Memorial Day Parade Rehearsal, and Graduation Rehearsal

It is important that you are at both of these rehearsals.
